Albury Brewhouse - A Cold One on Dean Street

brewery 11 April 2026

Halfway down the third day of the run to the Vic State HOG Rally, Albury was the lunch call - and the Albury Brewhouse on Dean Street turned out to be exactly the right kind of stop.

It’s a proper contemporary brewhouse: a long bar with a good spread of fresh craft beer on tap, premium wines and spirits if that’s your thing, and a kitchen turning out modern pub food from share plates to mains. After a morning in the hills and along the Murray, a cold one and a decent feed hit the spot perfectly.

It was also where Johnny caught up with us to join the ride into the rally, so the schooner doubled as a catch-up. Good beer, good food, good company - and a few minutes off the bike before the afternoon push through Beechworth and Glenrowan.

If you’re rolling through Albury, it’s an easy one to recommend. Right in the middle of town on Dean Street, open seven days, and the kind of place that makes a fuel-and-lunch stop feel like part of the trip rather than an interruption.
