Tucked up on a hill in the middle of a working farm out past Christmas Creek, the Oaky Creek Farm & Harvest Cafe is one of those stops you’d never find unless someone in the know pointed you at it. On the Scenic Rim reccie, that someone was Shaneo. Good choice.
It’s a cosy little coffee shed with a hilltop outlook over the farmland and the ranges beyond - the kind of view that makes a coffee taste twice as good. We pulled up, parked the bikes on the grass, and settled in.

Farm fresh eggs, toasties, muffins, real ice-cream, and produce off the farm itself - garlic, ginger, sauces and salts. We kept it simple: a good coffee and a caramel slice, sitting in the sun before tackling the back roads to Rathdowney.

For a mid-ride coffee stop it’s hard to beat. Off the beaten track, genuinely scenic, and exactly the sort of spot a good chapter ride should be built around.
