Some pubs you stop at. Some you just file away for next time. The Hotel Dunedoo was the second kind.
We came off the Black Stump Highway onto the Golden Highway on Day 2 of the rally run and pulled in at Dunedoo for fuel and a coffee. Across the road from the servo sat one of those beautiful old country pubs that make the back roads worth riding - federation architecture, wide verandahs, Tooheys signage, the whole package.

We had kilometres to cover and a hotel in Tumut waiting, so we didn’t get the chance to stop in for a beer. But it’s logged. The kind of grand old pub that deserves more than a wave from across the street - next time through, the bikes are getting parked out front and we’re heading in.
If you’ve got more time up your sleeve than we did, don’t make our mistake. Pull in.
