The Royal Hotel, Harrisville - A Grand Old Pub on the Scenic Rim Run

pub 13 June 2026

Lunch on the Scenic Rim reccie was the Royal Hotel at Harrisville, and it’s exactly the kind of pub you want at the end of a long run of back roads.

A grand old Queensland country pub, built in 1875, with the classic timber verandah, the red roof and the painted sign out front that’s earned every bit of its patina. Cold beer, great food, functions, camping out the back - it does the lot.

We rolled the bikes in off the road and lined them up out front. Plenty of room, a good feed inside, and that easy country welcome where a mob of leather-clad Harley riders taking over the front bar is no drama at all.

For a chapter ride it ticks every box: easy to get a row of bikes parked, room inside for a big group, a proper pub feed, and if the weekenders want to make a night of it, there’s camping out the back. A worthy lunch stop and a genuine reason to point the bike at Harrisville.
